Waheed Al Azhaar RZ is the only foal from his late sire, Amer Azhaar. Amer Azhaar is by Laheeb Al Nasser who was bred in Qatar, he spent some time in the US before being exported to Switzerland, he is sired by World Champion Al Adeed Al Shaqab and out of the World Reserve Champion mare, Bint Saida Al Nasser. Laheeb Al Nasser has subsequently sired many of his own international champions. Amer Azhaar’s dam was the stunningly beautiful Dorian Binthadidi, who was by none other than Hadidi, who has also won championships around the world.

Waheed Al Azhaar RZ’s dam is Desired Millicent, who has now been inspected and accepted into the Oldendburg NA Main Mare Book and she produced a premium Oldenburg colt in 2018 who went onto win site champion at his inspection, his breed class at Dressage at Devon and as a yearling, won a Reserve National Championship in hand. Waheed Al Azhaar RZ’s grandsire is the prolific Thee Desperado+, whose offspring are frequently found competing under saddle.

Waheed Al Azhaar RZ was shown in hand as a two and three year old, earning Regional titles against mature stallions and previous National Champions. He is currently training under saddle. Waheed Al Azhaar RZ continues to demonstrate impressive gaits, with a huge, swinging walk, a free shoulder that makes for an expressive trot, and a strong hind end that creates a canter with natural lift. Waheed Al Azhaar RZ was inspected by and received his certified breeding license from ISR/Oldenburg N.A. in 2020.
